Looking for Squaredle? Search and spelling help

Squaredle.fun is a daily word-search game where you connect adjacent letters to form words. If you searched for squarddle, squareadle, or a similar spelling, this may be the game you meant. Squardle, however, is also a separate guessing game. Compare the rules below to find the right one.

Common ways a search can be mistyped

The word-finding game here is spelled Squaredle: “square” followed by “dle”. If you remember dragging through neighboring letters to form words, our daily puzzle may be the game you intended. Searches resembling the name include squarddle (an extra “d”), squareadle (an extra “a”), squaredls (a different ending), and swuardle (a swapped first letter). Another variation is squaredele. People may also try squredle, squaredel, or square dle.

These spellings can resemble Squaredle, but the spelling alone cannot tell us which game someone intended. One useful clue is the action you remember taking. If your intended game has a grid of letters and you make words by dragging through touching tiles, the right destination may be Squaredle.fun. Start with the game rules if you want to check the mechanics before playing.

Other spellings and searches you may have tried

Unusual searches can resemble the name Squaredle without necessarily referring to this site. If you remember finding multiple words by connecting neighboring letters, try our daily word puzzle. If you remember guessing interlocking words from colored clues, you may have meant the independent Squardle guessing game instead.

Letter changes and alternate endings

These are examples of names typed with missing, extra, substituted, or transposed letters. They are not official alternate names for this game:

aquardle · sqwordle · squarsle · sqyaredle · squrele · squarqle · squarrdle · squerdle · sqrdle · squaeredle · squaredlr · squatefle · squardlle · sqiaredle · squadrle · squareddle · squarredle · squarale · squarwdle · squaredlw · squaredke · squardale · squaredl

Accidental punctuation

Searches such as squared;e and squared.e include a semicolon or period within the game name. The punctuation does not identify a separate mode.

Searches mentioning Solver, Express, or Today

An added word can help identify what you were looking for, but it still does not prove which game the search was about:

  • “squarefle solver” — If you have a 3×3 or 4×4 letter board and want possible words and paths, open our Squaredle Solver.
  • “squardke express” or “squadle express” — If you want a quick letter-connecting game on nine tiles, try Squaredle Express.
  • “squardle today” — This could refer to the separate Squardle guessing game. If you meant the daily adjacent-letter word hunt, play today's puzzle here.

Squaredle vs. Squardle: the missing “e” matters

Squardle is a separate word-guessing game, not another name for this site. Fubar Games' version uses a standard 5×5 grid with six interlocking words solved using five-letter guesses and colored clues.

By contrast, Squaredle.fun is a word-search game: trace connected letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, submit each valid word, and earn points. There are many words to discover on a board, and longer words score more. Hidden Bonus words earn double points. Our site is independent of other similarly named games and websites.

If you remember intersecting five-letter guesses, you may be thinking of the separate Squardle game. If you want to find words by linking adjacent letters, play the daily puzzle on Squaredle.fun.

Searching for “square wordle” or a “squares game”?

Searches for square wordle, squares word game, and squares game are broad game-category searches, not necessarily misspellings of Squaredle. They can refer to different square-grid puzzles: Wordle-style guessing and tracing adjacent letters are different mechanics.

If you remember making repeated guesses and using colored clues, you may be looking for a Wordle-style puzzle, such as the separate Squardle game. If you remember connecting adjacent tiles to collect multiple English words, try Squaredle.fun. For a quicker square-grid word hunt, there is also our 3×3 Express mode.

Which word game were you trying to find?

  • You remember dragging across letter tiles. You can start anywhere, turn corners, and connect diagonal neighbors. That describes the Squaredle.fun daily word hunt.
  • You remember typing five-letter guesses and reading colored clues. That sounds closer to the separate Squardle guessing game.
  • You remember a square grid, but not the rules. Compare the gameplay first: an adjacent-letter search game is different from a multi-word guessing game, even when the names look alike. Our how-to-play guide explains the former.

What do Squaredle search phrases lead to?

For “Squaredle today”, open the Daily puzzle; for “Squaredle unlimited”, open Unlimited; for “Squaredle solver”, open the word finder. Other searches may refer to a smaller board, a weekly challenge, or the rules:

  • “Squaredle today,” “squaredle daily puzzle,” or “squaredle daily today game” — open today's 4×4 puzzle, trace words, and try to reach the daily score goal.
  • “Squaredle unlimited” or “play more Squaredle” — play more 4×4 boards without waiting for the next day's puzzle.
  • “Squaredle solver,” “square solver,” or “Squaredle word finder” — enter your own 3×3 or 4×4 letter board and explore recognized words with their paths. The broader phrase “square solver” can also refer to math or other puzzles.
  • “Squaredle Express” or “Squaredle 3×3” — try the smaller 3×3 game for a quicker challenge.
  • “Squaredle weekly” — play our longer-running weekly challenge.
  • “Squaredle rules,” “bonus words,” or “valid words” — read the rules and word-list explanation, including diagonal moves, accepted spellings, and hidden Bonus points.

Why might another site show a different daily board?

Independently operated word-game sites can show different daily boards because their puzzles, dictionaries, scoring, and reset schedules are independent. A matching name does not mean the sites share a challenge.

On Squaredle.fun, the standard Daily game uses a 4×4 board and changes at 3am Pacific Time. The Express daily board follows the same changeover. If a puzzle shared by a friend looks different, check which website and date they used rather than assuming one board is incorrect.

If a word is rejected, the issue may also be the word list or the letter path, not the spelling of the game's name. See why a word may not be accepted.
